Handcrafted from FSC Certified American White Oak, the Isla vanity brings timeless design to life with its classic shaker-style drawer fronts and slatted shelf base. There’s a quiet confidence in Isla’s design – nothing too trendy, nothing overstated. She brings a sense of warmth and familiarity to your space, like it’s always belonged there. Her beauty doesn’t beg for attention, but earns it.
Every detail is purposefully considered and is as follows:
Mortise and tenon joints have been used throughout the unit, including the slatted base which is tenoned into the frame around it. Custom veneer has been used on the two side panels to increase strength and stability and to prevent the tendency of natural timber to warp over time. Each component is hand sanded and assembled, and the hardware is fitted with system screws and expanding dowels, allowing better weight distribution and attachment
Internally the unit has a usable top draw with an integrated recess to accommodate plumbing fixtures. A Blum TANDEMBOX antro draw system is fitted which has a 30kg weight capacity, soft close functionality and a lifetime warranty which is honoured by Blum Australia. The draws come standard with custom antique brass oval knobs.
The vanity has been fitted with a 5mm PTFE foot to elevate the unit off the floor and protect the timber.
The Natural American White Oak and Tobacco Oil-Stained American White Oak units have been finished with OSMO Polyx Oil which is hardwearing, stain, water and abrasion resistant. The finish has a microporous surface which will not crack, peel, flake or blister. It’s a natural alternative to the commonly used polyurethane and is safe for humans and animals, with minimal maintenance required.
We can offer the ISLA vanity in any RAL colour option, which you can view in the Custom Colour tab. The coloured versions of the ISLA vanity, including white, have been handcrafted from sustainably grown Saligna – which is a type of hardwood originally native to Australia. Saligna is known as a high-quality hardwood and offers the same life-long durability as American White Oak.
Custom coloured vanities are finished using the OSMO Intensive Colour System — a hardwearing, stain and water-resistant wax finish that highlights the natural timber grain while offering exceptional durability. In comparison to conventional 2Pac coloured finishes, the OSMO Wood Wax finish allows for the natural grain in the timber to shine through. It has a microporous surface which will not crack, peel, flake or blister and won’t chip or require professional repair. In the unlikely event the unit did need touching up the product can be purchased from any OSMO retailer and is easy to apply.
As a natural material, timber cannot be replicated exactly from one piece to the next. Each board features unique grain patterns, slight variations in colour, and natural imperfections — and that’s what makes it so beautiful.
