Handcrafted from FSC Certified American White Oak, the Elsie vanity doesn’t just furnish your bathroom — she sets the tone for it: elevated, graceful and quietly bold. Grounded in timeless design with a modern twist, the elegant concave fluting enhances the surface with understated sophistication.
Every detail is purposefully considered and is as follows:
Mortise and tenon joint have been used throughout the unit. The entire vanity is made out of solid American Oak – including the fluted draws and side panels. Custom engineered American Oak with solid American Oak edging has been used for the bottom shelf to increase strength, stability and durability, and to prevent the tendency of natural timber to warp over time. Each component is hand sanded and assembled, and the hardware is fitted with system screws and expanding dowels, allowing better weight distribution and attachment.
Internally the unit has a usable top draw with an integrated recess to accommodate plumbing fixtures. A Blum TANDEMBOX antro draw system is fitted which has a 30kg weight capacity, soft close functionality and a lifetime warranty - which is honoured by Blum Australia.
The vanity has been fitted with a 5mm PTFE foot to elevate the unit off the floor and protect the timber.
The Natural American White Oak and Tobacco Oil-Stained American White Oak units have been finished with OSMO Polyx Oil which is hardwearing, stain, water and abrasion resistant. The finish has a microporous surface which will not crack, peel, flake or blister. It’s a natural alternative to the commonly used polyurethane and is safe for humans and animals, with minimal maintenance required.
We can offer the Elsie vanity in any colour from the OSMO Elements colour range, which is a unique offering to the Australian market. You can view the colour range here.
Custom coloured vanities are finished using the OSMO Intensive Colour System — a hardwearing, stain- and water-resistant wax finish that highlights the natural timber grain while offering exceptional durability. In comparison to conventional 2Pac coloured finishes, the OSMO Wood Wax finish allows for the natural grain in the timber to shine through. It has a microporous surface which will not crack, peel, flake or blister and won’t chip or require professional repair. In the unlikely event the unit did need touching up the product can be purchased from any OSMO retailer and is easy to apply.
As a natural material, timber cannot be replicated exactly from one piece to the next. Each board features unique grain patterns, slight variations in colour, and natural imperfections — and that’s what makes it so beautiful.
